Cross Country Improves

      Both boys and girls Cross Country teams are astonishing this year! Everyone has been trying their best throughout the season and has shown great improvement! Thanks to Cross Country coach Scott Sprague, everyone has improved and has also beaten their personal best in mileage.

      On Monday, October 8th, Fremontís Cross Country teams will be traveling to Angola for TCAC!! We wish everyone luck, and hope to see Cross Country fans there at 4:45!!

8th Grade Football

      Blue 42, Blue 42, down, set, hit! Letís catch you up on all you need to know about this yearís 8th grade football team. During practice they try hard to try to be the best of the best. It sure does show in the games!

      Currently, they are 1-3. The couches, Eric H. and Ken B., have been trying to prepare the boys for high school football by running the practices similar. Our 8th Grade team has a phenomenal team this year. It consists of Brendan K, Nick L, Jordan (Mason) Z, Jacob B, Wade R, Jayce C, Nathan C, Tony F, Johnny G, Evan P, Jordan W, Tyler E, and Travis E. These boys are managed by Katriana W, and Kayla S.

      The cheerleaders are also show so much encouragement to us. The football cheerleaders are Kennedy M, Brooke S, Jessica T, and Makayla M. They have two more games left and there both home, so come and watch them beat Garrett home on Tuesday and cheer them on!

7th Grade Volleyball

      The 7th grade volleyball team is 7-4! Last Saturday they even got second place in the West Noble tournament. The players are Baleigh Weidenhamer, Taylor Lovett, Kirsten Lovett, Erica Linker, Tory Foster, Adrianna McDowell, Michayla VanAken, Catie Bennett, Kaylee Hemenway, Jillian Springer, Cara Eichler, and Lexus Hill. They are coached by Ashley Miller.

      So far they are doing an outstanding job this season. We are looking forward to TCAC championship! The first round is October 15th, second round is the 16th and the final is October 18th! Come and cheer on the girls!

7th Grade Football Team

      The 7th Grade Football team has had a great season. Austin German, one of their players stated that ďwe have been practicing hard and hope to win our final game against Eastside.Ē

      The 7th Grade team has good talent & skill and a great coach, Kim Quick. They have a good chance of winning this Tuesday.

End of the Quarter

      Before we know it, the end of the first quarter will be here. October 23, is the scheduled date for the end of the quarter and on October 25, Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place. Donít forget that parents will be getting your report cards at Parent/Teacher Conferences, so keep your grades up and stay out of trouble.

      Also on October 26, we have Fall Break. On the 25th and 26th, students do not have school.

      Finally, keep in mind that we canít wear shorts or flip flops starting on the 23rd. We still have one day before Parent/Teacher Conferences, October 24, and you may think that is the last day of the first quarter, but itís not so donít show up in shorts and flip flops.

Candy Bars For Sale

      Find your change! Members of the 8th grade Band and Choir are selling Candy bars including: Tropical Skittles, Sour Skittles, Crunch Bar, Kit Kat, Reeceís, and Peanut M+Mís. Each Candy Bar is $1 each.

      Band and Choir will be selling these to raise enough money for their freshman year Spring Break trip. They are going to New Orleans to perform and learn about musical culture. This will be one of the many fundraisers Band and Choir will be doing.
